Today’s law firms and corporations employ the largest, most educated, and most ambitious pool of young Asian Pacific American professionals ever in the history of the country. However, relatively few of them reach the highest levels of leadership within their organizations – a fact distressing to both the young people themselves as well as their employers.

Asian Pacific Americans are the fastest growing minority group in the nation, yet (according to one study) less than 350 are elected officials. In contrast, over 5200 Latino and over 9100 African-American hold elected office throughout the country.

Without a doubt, in years ahead, more Asian Pacific Americans will be trailblazers in law, business, and politics. But, also without a doubt, such future success will come more readily if these young lawyers, businessmen, and politicians meet and network with one another today.

In July 2006, CAUSE will launch our Summer Associate Leadership Training program to create a new Southern California network to bridge the gaps among the worlds of legal, financial, and political power in our community. We will be hosting a series of events and networking opportunities to help mentor and work with the next generation of Asian Pacific American rising stars from the legal, financial and political worlds.
