GARY YAMAUCHI

Currently a City Councilman for the City of Alhambra, Gary has been involved in numerous organizations in and around the City of Alhambra. He is Past President of the Alhambra Rotary Club, the WSGV YMCA, and the Chamber of Commerce.  Currently he serves on the ELAC Foundation Board of Directors and is Vice President of the Los Angeles Music and Art School Board of Trustees. Previously he was Vice President of the Alhambra Planning Commission, treasurer of the Alhambra Library Foundation, member of the “HUD” commission, and served on advisory committees for Alhambra High School, Alhambra Police Department, and the Alhambra Hospital.

Gary is the owner/president of Tri-Star Vending, one of the largest independent vending companies in Los Angeles County. The business received an award from Assemblywoman Judy Chu as  “2004 API Business of the Year for the 49th Assembly District” and they will be receiving the first ever “Employer of the Year” award from Homeboy Industries at an up and coming event. Gary received honors as “Citizen of the Year” presented by the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce in 2004.

Gary and his wife Linda just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and they have three children, David, Trent, and Kevin.  They have lived in Alhambra since 1991.
