2013 CAUSE Leadership Academy 
June 17, 2013 to August 9, 2013

Application Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of demonstrated academic and personal excellence, and involvement and leadership in extracurricular activities. Applications must be postmarked by April 26, 2013. Qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview on May 18th. By the end of May, CAUSE will announce the 2013 Leadership Academy interns, who will start the program on June 17, 2013. 

Student Qualifications

Candidates should be graduating high school seniors or undergraduate college students in good academic standing, with a minimum GPA of 3.2. CAUSE interns will be placed in full-time positions in the Southern California area, so they should be prepared to live within the vicinity of their placement and/or the CAUSE office, where the weekly issues forum takes place, or be willing to commute independently.  

Important Dates

The CAUSE Leadership Academy will accept completed applications until April 26, 2013. Applications will be reviewed and top candidates will be asked to participate in an in-person interview with the CAUSE selection panel on May 18th. The program duration is from June 17 - August 9, 2013. Again, applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 10, 2013 [deadline extended]. Please mail application and all required documents to:
