California Asian American Student Internship Coalition (CASIC)
Leadership Academy

A program administered by CAUSE, CASIC has trained and graduated over 100 college leaders to be proactive and engaged in the public sector. Through this leadership program, the goal is to produce new generations of APA leaders who have the potential for a career in public office or community advocacy work. Over 60 of our graduates gained positions as legislative staffers, nonprofit program associates, and have campaigned for and succeeded in attaining elected office.

  CAUSE Political Institute

CAUSE administers the Political Institute, made up of three programs: 1) Candidates Training: To prepare attendees who aspire to run for elected or higher office; 2) Annual Statewide APA Elected and Appointed Officials Conference: To exchange views and discuss challenges facing California; and, 3) Community Political Summit: To bring together community leaders to seek greater involvement from the APA community.

  Leadership Development

In July 2006, CAUSE will launch our Summer Associate Leadership Training program to create a new Southern California network to bridge the gaps among the worlds of legal, financial, and political power in our community. We will be hosting a series of events and networking opportunities to help mentor and work with the next generation of Asian Pacific American rising stars from the legal, financial and political worlds.
