What policies at the various levels of government can be implemented to fight AAPI hate?

Already, philanthropic and corporate Foundations have already dedicated contributions to AAPI organizations nationwide to combat hate. Many nonprofits and community-based organizations have been tracking and organizing data on the rise in hate crimes, while individuals are taking defensive measures.

APALF is combating AAPI hate through 'The Race Epidemic' documentary (https://theracedocumentary.org/) as well as through training that will help leaders identify and address bias.

The film examines xenophobia and racism against AAPIs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and grapples with the most recent acts of violence on AAPIs.

Government has a huge role in shaping the policies that surround race and hate crimes against the AAPI community. We will explore the entities that have taken action to stem the increased violence and hate crimes against AAPIs from local, to statewide and national levels.
