CONTENT MARKETING INTERN
Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Content Marketing Intern will be tasked with providing support in the development and implementation of CAUSE's marketing and communications strategy as well as its individual programming efforts and special initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in creating engaging content and has a basic understanding of and experience with interacting with the Asian Pacific American (APA) civic and political landscape.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CONTENT CREATION & MANAGEMENT
Write engaging program recaps based on program notes
Organize, curate, and review blog entry submissions to fit CAUSE’s brand and messaging
Create graphics and social media postings that generate interest and engagement
Take/edit event photos that showcase the organization’s program goals and mission
Regularly provide support in updating the CAUSE website with blogs, news, and events postings
Conduct research to improve content marketing efforts across platforms
Facilitate coordination with community partners and press outreach
Provide day-of support at program events
Assist with daily office operations
Provide in-language support at events (if applicable)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Google Apps (Mail, Docs, Calendar, Drive)
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
Knowledge of using a DSLR camera for taking photos and recording video
Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to balance multiple project deadlines
Ability to work both independently and in team settings

Internship Period & HOURS
8 Weeks (Summer), 36 Hours/Week
The position is based in Los Angeles, CA.
Intern is expected to arrange their own travel/commute to and from the CAUSE office.
