POD #1: Life Maps

Los Angeles, CA -- On Wednesday, January 26th, CAUSE hosted the first virtual pod meeting of the 2022 CAUSE Leadership Institute. Pod meetings are a newly developed component of the program that focuses on building group connections and deepening conversation.

For this pod meeting, fellows reflected on impactful moments in their lives and created personal Life Maps. Afterwards, fellows shared these stories in small groups to deepen connections.

QUOTES:

“Creating bridges and connections through shared or similar experiences.”

“Life transitions are tough! It's more common than I thought to travel for a few years as opposed to climbing a strict corporate/non-profit/public service ladder.”

The CAUSE Leadership Institute (CLI), is a certificate program that prepares and equips mid-career professionals with the tools, skills, and network to lead and advocate for the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Co-founded by CAUSE and USC Dornsife’s Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics to ensure a pipeline of political and civic leadership for the APA community, CLI brings together aspiring APA community leaders with seasoned political professionals, civic leaders, and issues experts to discuss policy, civic engagement, and community leadership.
