Los Angeles, CA – On August 8th, 2019, CAUSE hosted the annual Summer Alumni Mixer at the CAUSE offices. The event allowed a space for past and current program participants to connect and reconnect with each other over refreshments and fun activities.
As the evening kicked off, guests were served dishes and refreshments from local APA-owned businesses and invited to participate in a “Where are you?” Los Angeles map activity, which showed where CAUSE alumni and program participants are located throughout Southern California.
During the evening, everyone was invited to participate in a round of networking bingo. The rules of the game required participants to get bingo “blackouts” by getting the signature of someone who fulfilled the prompt in the box. Prompts were related to specific CAUSE alumni, programs, and past events. Players who successfully got a “bingo blackout” were rewarded with opportunity drawing tickets for a variety of prizes, such as 88 Rising concert tickets and pairs of Southwest roundtrip flight tickets.
