POD #3: 1-Minute Story

Los Angeles, CA -- On Wednesday, February 23, CAUSE held the third pod meeting of the 2022 CAUSE Leadership Institute virtually on Zoom. Pod meetings are a newly developed component of the program that focuses on building community among the cohort and deepening conversations.

Pod Session 3 built on the previous storytelling session and its importance in advocacy for individuals and communities. During the meeting, each fellow recorded a “1-minute story” that reflected on their past and shared a vision for the future of the APA community.

QUOTES:

“We can all point to a formative experience or belief in the development of our APA identity!”

“This was a great way to continue growing together and getting to know more about each other.”

The CAUSE Leadership Institute (CLI), is a certificate program that prepares and equips mid-career professionals with the tools, skills, and network to lead and advocate for the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Co-founded by CAUSE and USC Dornsife’s Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics to ensure a pipeline of political and civic leadership for the APA community, CLI brings together aspiring APA community leaders with seasoned political professionals, civic leaders, and issues experts to discuss policy, civic engagement, and community leadership.
