Together We Vote is a collaborative, multi-day civic experience during California’s 10-day early voting period. Rooted in community and culture, it brings together local partners, artists, small businesses, and civic leaders to empower voters in Los Angeles County’s historic Asian and Pacific Islander (API) neighborhoods.

Our Asian American Voter Access Report, based on more than 1,000 multilingual surveys across Los Angeles County, showed that people enjoy voting most when it feels like a shared experience. That finding shapes our approach: voting should be more than a task; it should be a moment of community, joy, and belonging.

When people vote together, they create lasting positive memories and deepen their connection to each other and to the democratic process. Voting becomes not just about civic duty, but about shaping the neighborhoods, schools, and communities we share.

Together We Vote turns Get Out the Vote (GOTV) into a celebration of community by bringing civic engagement to life through cultural events, art, food, and storytelling that make participation meaningful and fun.

In past elections, CAUSE partnered with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk and community-based organizations to reach voters through youth-led digital outreach, in-language mailers for older adults, and events in trusted spaces. By centering low-propensity voters from ethnic neighborhoods, low-income communities, and limited English proficient households, Together We Vote makes participation welcoming and empowering for everyone.

“Together” takes many forms. Whether you join us at a community event, drop your ballot in a mailbox or ballot box, or vote early at a local Vote Center, you are part of this shared experience. Every act of voting connects us and strengthens our collective voice. In that spirit, we continue building spaces where culture, community, and civic engagement come together.

This election season, Together We Vote is bringing that spirit to life once again, inviting our community to gather, celebrate, and shape the future together.

BRING YOUR BALLOTS AND VOTE AT HAUNTED LITTLE TOKYO!

CAUSE, in partnership with the Little Tokyo Ghost Club, presents to you The 9th Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party, an outdoor Halloween event held in Little Tokyo in collaboration with local businesses.

Since 2021, CAUSE has organized the Haunted Costume Contest and booths focused on voter education and engagement with over 4000+ attendees. Our Annual Costume Contest brings together some of the most creative and competitive costume fans. Attendees get to cast their popular vote for the winner, making it a fun reminder of the power of voting—and that your voice matters, especially in local elections.

Last year, CAUSE partnered with the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County-Clerk (RR/CC) to bring an official Mobile Vote Center to the party. We broke the county’s record for ballots casted at a mobile vote center and stayed open until 10 PM.

Let’s break records again! LA County RR/CC is returning with an official ballot drop-off box for the special election. Haunted brings together multiple generations to a fun, welcoming space where community and civic engagement meet.
