Together We Vote returns to one of Los Angeles County's most memorable early voting experiences

LOS ANGELES, CA — This Halloween, eligible Los Angeles County voters can cast their ballot at the Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party, where community, creativity, and civic participation come together in one of the county's most distinctive early voting experiences.

As part of the 10th Annual Haunted Little Tokyo Block Party, the Center for Asian Americans United for Self Empowerment (CAUSE) is once again partnering with the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) to bring an official Mobile Vote Center to Little Tokyo. Returning after its successful debut in 2024, the Mobile Vote Center offers the same secure and accessible voting experience as any Los Angeles County Vote Center while giving voters the opportunity to participate during one of Little Tokyo's signature community traditions.

The Mobile Vote Center is made possible through the collaboration behind Haunted Little Tokyo. Convened by the Little Tokyo Community Council and organized through the Little Tokyo Ghost Club, the event brings together neighborhood nonprofits, family owned businesses, artists, and community leaders. As part of that partnership, CAUSE leads the Mobile Vote Center in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Registrar Recorder/County Clerk and produces the annual Haunted Little Tokyo Costume Contest.

From Japanese horror inspired creations to elaborate anime costumes and imaginative pop culture mashups, the Haunted Little Tokyo Costume Contest has grown into one of Southern California's most creative Halloween showcases.

The Haunted Little Tokyo Vote Center is part of Together We Vote, CAUSE's nonpartisan initiative to bring voter education and official voting opportunities into trusted community spaces across Los Angeles County. By partnering with community organizations, cultural institutions, artists, small businesses, and public agencies, Together We Vote helps make civic participation a natural part of community life.

"One of my favorite moments every year is watching people step out of line after voting and immediately go back to laughing with friends, taking photos, and enjoying the Block Party. It's a reminder that democracy doesn't happen outside of community. It happens within it." — Nancy Yap, Executive Director, CAUSE
